Christian Help Grants 2007-2008
In the past church year, Plymouth Church supported the following local, national and international charities through Christian Help grants:
 
A Rocha: Provides environmental education in the Czech Republic

Brooklyn Kindergarten Society: Provides pre-schools in Crown Heights, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville

Brooklyn Music School : Funding for scholarships for a summer dance program

Church of Gethsemane : A Presbyterian Church in Park Slope whose members have been incarcerated

Church of the Living Hope: A summer camp in East Harlem

Cornelia Connelly Center: A middle school for low-income girls in the Lower East Side

Dialogue Project: Creates dialogue among Christians, Muslims, and Jews

Flatbush Development Corporation: A summer program for at-risk youth at PS 217

Habitat for Humanity – NYC: Creates decent, affordable housing

Heart of Brooklyn: Providing need-based scholarships for a cultural summer program for youth

Heights and Hill Community Council: Services for the elderly

Hope Program: Job readiness program

Housing and Solutions: Creates housing for released women inmates

LICH Prenatal Clinic: Providing Baby Basics book for Medicaid mothers

Maura Clark-Ita Ford Center : Family literacy program for the economically disadvantaged

Mission School of Hope: School and ministry to Baka people of Cameroon

NACCC – Philippines: 33 Congregational churches in the Philippines

New York Congregational Home for the Aged: A culinary arts program

New York Theological Seminary: Seminary interns working with youth in Brooklyn

Park Slope Christian Help: Soup Kitchen and women’s shelter

Project Reach Youth: Inspire at-risk students to enter the PRY college prep program

Prospect Park YMCA: After school program at PS 169 in Sunset Park

St. John's Bread and Life: Soup kitchen and other services in Bedford-Stuyvesant

Youth Services Opportunities Program: Provides high-quality volunteer experiences for youth
