Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled.
Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
—Luke 6:20-21

As followers of Jesus, we know the joy of giving ourselves away. Serving connects our faith to community and brings us into God’s transforming work. Plymouth has many chances to serve in our broader community and in our own church. Take a look through these opportunities and find a time to give yourself in love.

Mother's Day Mission Offering: The Frances Residence

The Frances Residence at CHiPS provides pre and postpartum safe housing and support for nine formerly homeless mothers and their babies. As with any young family there are many needs, from diapers to baby clothes, strollers and playpens and so much more. Please donate generously to make Mother's Day joyful for these nine women and their children! Last day to contribute is Mother's Day, May 12.

Celebrating the Mission School of Hope | Sunday, May 5 | 9:30 AM

We are delighted to welcome Charles Sagay, one of Plymouth’s long-time ministry partners, back to share with us about Mission School of Hope’s good work in Cameroon. This partnership provides our church the opportunity to bear witness to the immeasurably big, boundary-crossing work of God. Come and join Charles for breakfast and hear him speak about the educational, medical and spiritual ministries MSH provides for their community.

Cook for the Hungry

CHiPS is our long-time partner feeding the hungry right here in Gowanus. Their guests have doubled this past year as they feed new migrants and asylum seekers in two nearby shelters. Plymouth has committed to providing 420 hot meals on May 13 & 14, May 20 & 21. We need cooks, cookie donations and two drivers per day. Sign up here and join us as we fight hunger in our own community!
