Ten years ago, a prominent theologian published The 307 Questions Jesus Asked and the 3 He Answered. The numbers are a stretch, but Jesus asks good questions. In worship during Lent, we will explore some of Jesus’ most challenging questions: What do you want? Who is my mother? Who are my brothers? Do you also wish to go away? Are you envious because I’m generous? What do you want me to do for you?
When we take the questions more seriously, we will find our way to better, more thoughtful answers.
Lenten Worship
Ash Wednesday
March 5 | 7:00 PM | The Sanctuary
Our 40-Day Lenten journey begins with our earnest prayers on Ash Wednesday. Being honest about our limitedness keeps us open to God's unlimited love. God is our mercy and our strength when we have to let go. So when we receive the mark of the ashes—hearing that we are made of dust and one day we will be dust again—we mercifully remember our interconnectedness to everything that is.

Lenten Prayer Stations
For Lent this year, there are various prayer stations throughout the building. You are invited to participate as you are able, spending time at each station, a few, or even just one. No matter if you feel led to do all stations on one day, or space it out throughout the 40 days of Lent, you are welcome.

conversations worth having: Lenten Small Groups
Jesus keeps asking the good questions that encourage us to dig deeper into knowing him, ourselves, and our faith better. No matter if the question prompts a straightforward conversation or awakens tender doubts that require far more time to fully consider, Lent small groups commit to wondering together in safe space. When we give ourselves to taking Jesus' questions seriously in community, we may be surprised by the answers that arise from us.
Law and Faith: A conversation for lawyers | Sunday, April 6, 9-10:30 AM | Reception Room
Plymouth lawyers are invited to join a conversation with Scott Hemphill about the intersection of law and religious faith. What role do our spiritual commitments play, in processing the challenges that arise in legal practice and in shaping a response that is consistent with those principles? At moments of unusual strain to the legal order, how do we approach these questions in a way that aligns with those values? This is an opportunity to share insights, compare notes, and reflect on the role of faith in shaping legal thought and practice.
